For ABADE, AHG hired 12 individuals for every two offices (total 22 persons); secure office buildings in Herat and Mazar, equipped each office with 14 workstations, one conference room, and 1 IT room; ensured that both offices are fully operational for a five-day working week. Manage the two teams for four years. AHG provided monthly reporting to USAID/ABADE on this $105 million project.

Afghan Children Read (ACR)
Afghan Children Read (ACR) is a USAID-funded primary education initiative designed to improve equitable access to education and generate measurable reading outcomes for girls and boys in Afghanistan. We lead all research, evaluation, and assessment components and designs and conducted capacity-building programs for the Afghan Ministry of Education to take over the project after the program end-date.
Afghan Ministry of Counter Narcotics (MCN) Remediation Plan and Training Service
The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) directed contracted us for the Afghanistan Ministry of Counter Narcotics Remediation Plan. The program was to plan, design, deploy, train, mentor and manage a new online database management information system to comprehensively administer six areas: budget formulation and execution, accounting, compliance, payroll, cost accounting and fixed asset management. The database was integrated with the Afghanistan Financial Management Information System (AFMIS) of the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

We acted as an intermediary between UNICEF and mobile network operators for the provision of SMS, Voice, IVR and USSD services.
UNHCR Cash Grant Evaluation
This study looks at the impact of UNHCR cash grants on meeting the needs and reintegration of refugees who returned to Afghanistan. We conduct 2,700 individual interviews, 14 focus group discussions, and several key informant interviews across seven provinces. The study employs regression study and inferential statistics to assess the relationship between cash grants and the reintegration of repatriated refugees.
Monitoring and Evaluation Three Year Strategy Development and Capacity Building for NAPWA
The goal of this project was to develop a three-year monitoring and evaluation strategy and build the capacity of seven line ministries for implementation of the National Action Plan for Women of Afghanistan. As a result, the following four strategies were developed: (a) System Development, (b) Capacity Development, (c) Mainstreaming, and (d) Advocacy and Fund-Raising; and training was provided to all line ministries on Result Based M&E.
