To ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, quality and relevance of Canada’s support in responding to Afghanistan’s development challenges, the Afghanistan Development Program required access to local technical expertise, sector studies and strategies, sector and initiative level preparation and monitoring along with supplementary administrative and logistical support. To meet these needs, DFATD designed the Field Support Services Project (FSSP) to provide required technical, administrative and support services. AHG currently manages the financial and operational implementation of the FSSP.

For ABADE, AHG hired 12 individuals for every two offices (total 22 persons); secure office buildings in Herat and Mazar, equipped each office with 14 workstations, one conference room, and 1 IT room; ensured that both offices are fully operational for a five-day working week.
